Angel Card Words

Angel Cards [you can make your own]
Turn all the cards face down and get each person to pick one card.
This is the card that they need to think about for the week.
Ask: How does this word apply to you?
Ask: Is it something that you need to work on?
Ask: Is it something that is touching your life rigth now?
Words include things like "peace, transformation, harmony, love"
Write the word down in the centre of a colourtful peice of paper.
Then as a group write down all the things you can think of that apply the word to the person.

painting on styrofoam

These are paintings done by adults with disabilities.
The activity was easy, and the canvases were free! (old pieces of styrofoam packaging)
Painting can be done on anything, including cut up cardboard boxes.
large paintings make good wall decorations and when they are done on something solid (like styrofoam or cardboard, they last longer and stick out against a wall.)

Bean Bags filled with rice

I made these bean bags out of old fabric and filled them with dollarama rice.
-Cut 2 peices of fabric and place the side of the fabric that looks the nicest inside front to front facing eachother. Therefore the outside of the fabric is the side that you sew on.
- Sew 3 sides; then turn the fabric right-side-out and fill the bag with rice... sew up the 4th side!
The bean bags were made for people to hold in their hands during stretching and tai-chi.
You can make bean bags for the use in games and activities.
